Auto-update

  • Automatic updates: new releases are downloaded and installed in the background, and a bar asks for a restart when one is ready. Switch it off in Settings to be offered updates instead. Checks run on launch, hourly, and when the window regains focus.

Remote desktop

  • "Open desktop" is now a single step and self-healing: it creates the RDP account and Keychain password on first use, re-syncs GNOME Remote Desktop on the device before every connection, and opens a private ssh tunnel on a fresh port instead of reusing whatever was already listening. Connection or logon failures are reported in the menu instead of a window that flashes and closes.

Fixes

  • Tile popovers (layout, move to workspace) drop straight down under their button instead of sliding in from the right.
  • Settings: update buttons no longer wrap.
