• The estimated-spend scan is cached per transcript file (by path plus modified time) and persisted across restarts, so the usage panel opens instantly instead of re-parsing your whole history every time. On a large history this is the difference between a many-second wait and instant.

UI

• An open top-bar tool button lights up (bright icon on a light fill) instead of the dim grey/accent look, so it is clear which panel is open.
