pzzacode 0.2.30

September 8, 2026v0.2.30

PzzaCode 0.2.30 brings new agent and device workflows, a redesigned settings experience, local voice input, and substantial terminal and lifecycle improvements.

Agents Hub and Quick Chat

  • Added a skills library, skill discovery and import, reusable agent profiles, and reviewed profile deployment with deployment history.
  • Automatically discover global instruction files in device home folders. Compare live versions and modification times, choose a source, and preview changes before synchronizing other devices.
  • Preserve existing instruction files in durable backups and reject a sync when the source or destination has changed since preview.
  • Added Quick Chat in a dropdown, with a session prepared at app startup for faster access. Hiding the dropdown keeps the conversation running.

Settings and appearance

  • Rebuilt settings as compact pages with sidebar submenus, consistent forms, custom checkboxes, and better control spacing.
  • Consolidated appearance into dark and light modes, with a reworked light palette and improved text contrast on translucent surfaces.
  • Softened dropdown shadows and input borders, removed the toolbar shadow, and kept application corners rounded.
  • Reorganized toolbar actions, placing New Session last and notifications beside Settings. Moved connection and Quick Chat preferences into Settings, and updates into About.
  • Expanded native macOS Help menu entries and replaced in-app toast popups with inline feedback and notification history.

Notifications and dictation

  • Added notification history, category filters, per-event preferences, desktop notification controls, and read/dismiss actions.
  • Added a compact green unread indicator and “New” labels. Reading an event keeps the notification view open; row actions now sit together.
  • Added on-device dictation with downloadable speech models and language selection, inserting recognized speech at the terminal cursor.
  • Replaced the bottom dictation banner with a compact cursor-position preview, improved error recovery, and aligned stop/cancel controls.

Devices, sync, and connections

  • Redesigned device management and removed its redundant setup-wizard section.
  • Show actual session ages using minutes, hours, days, and weeks, with the exact creation time on hover. The previous “w” window-count abbreviation is gone.
  • Added project-sync confirmation and cancellation, retaining tracked and untracked local changes in recoverable stashes.
  • Added device bridge pairing, project-scoped permissions, approval controls, job activity, audit history, and related MCP tools.
  • Improved port-forwarding configuration and live service identification using process, project, and container names.

Terminal behavior and reliability

  • Restored local drag selection and automatic copying in mouse-aware remote terminals, including Cmd+C and native copy-event handling.
  • Improved terminal output buffering, rendering scheduling, and flow control, plus clipboard and image-paste handling.
  • Improved session duplication and termination handling, and made the focus/dim control more noticeable.
  • Tied the local background agent to the app lifecycle and made shutdown asynchronous to address lingering processes and close-time freezes.
  • Improved usage refresh behavior and moved spend scanning into a worker to reduce blocking work.

macOS release

  • Signed and notarized universal build for Apple Silicon and Intel, with signed in-app updater artifacts.
  • Requires macOS 11 or later.
  • All 203 automated tests passed for this release.
